This big question allows us to continue our trip to the great history of Macedonia. One of the most important generals was Antipater. Many believe that the Tomb is dedicated to him. Antipater was regent of all of Alexander's Empire and a supporter of king Philip II of Macedon and Alexander the Great himself.
The following map shows the kingdom of Macedon at the time Antipater became regent of the Empire, just after the murder of king Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. The king was entering unprotected into the Aegaes's theater when he was killed by Pausanias, one of his seven bodyguards.
